The end of a busy term!

It has been an incredibly busy term! The children have learnt all about WW2 and the Blitz and are now looking at how Britain was rebuilt after the war – in particular through the arrival of the N.H.S. In English the children have created some fantastic Autumn Poetry and are finished the term with a funny story about ‘The Empty Stocking’. For a closer look at the objectives that we have covered as well as a snapshot of some of the lessons and activities then please click on the curriculum links at the bottom of the page.

If you want to get a head start on next half term, then start looking at everything Roman! You may want to check-out the link below.

Homework will be set every Friday and should be handed in on the following Wednesday.  If homework is not completed, then the children will be asked to complete it during break time on the day of hand in. Homework consists of:

  • Ideally children should read or be read to 5 times a week.  However, we expect this to be achieved at least 3 times a week with comments recorded in the children’s reading records.
  • Children must learn the spellings set by their class teacher ready to be tested the following week
  • Children must complete a short Maths activity (30 minutes)

All of the homework set can be found by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page
